NAIFS TO DEWORM CHILDREN IN AROGBO-IJAW

The National Association of Ijaw Female Student (NAIFS) are mobilizing their members especially institution across the South-West to carry out deworming of children a part of their contribution to the welfare of mother and child during this year Arogbo-Ijaw day celebration at Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Receiving the chairman NAIFS committee on Arogbo-Ijaw day 2008. Miss Timi Ebighi in his office, Comrade Andrew Elijah, Chief of staff to Coordinator of Ijaw monitoring Group, Comrade Joseph Evah, speaking on behalf of his boss, commended the committee for carrying out an effective campaign ahead of the Arogbo-Ijaw day celebration.
He said, that including NAIFS’ humanitarian work into a great event like Arogbo Day celebration will add colour to the event.
“You are aware that NAIFS’ major deworming programme across Ijaw land comes up in December every year but IMG Co-coordinator decided to bring this special deworming to Arogbo area because Arogbo Ijaw day will give us better opportunity to mobilize our mothers to prepare their children. “We wish to thank great Arogbo sons who have assisted NAIFS in the past to save Ijaw children from untimely death through NAIFS free deworming especially chief D.I. Kekemeke the secretary to Ondo state government. We hope other great sons of Arogbo like, Chief Francis Ajih, Tounya, Hon. Kingsley Kuku, Wilson Ajuwa, Hon. Justice Raphael Ajuwa and others will help the children of Arogbo-Ibe to survive the test of time.”
