GROUPS URGE OSHIOMHOLE TO END IJAW’S WOES

Warri-as Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state settles down to governance, two groups, the South South Youths Leadership Forum, SSYLE, and the Ogbudugbudu Progressive forum, OPF, have called on him to use the good office to put an end to the socio-political and economic marginalization and sufferings of the Ijaw people in the state.
Speaking to newsmen on behalf of the chairman of SSYLF, Mr. Moses Siloko Siasia in Benin, Mr. Kingsley Ikieri and Prince Prestley Iyalagha said, “The electoral victory of Adams Oshiomhole and his successful swearing in is a victory for democracy and all the oppressed grassroots people of Nigeria.”

The OPF in a statement signed by Mr. Manijawei Tonbor. Meshark Ubabiri and kingsley Igbiriki urged Oshiomhole to urgently embark on the construction of good network of roads and bridges in Ijaw area as they constitute why Edo State is part of oil bearing states in Nigeria.

Specifically, they demanded that road be constructed from Udo to Ofunama to ameliorate the transportation difficulties being suffered by the communities.
