Port Harcourt-Alhaji Ibrahim Amin and Mr. Kenneth Yellowe are in court over the ownership of Global Gas and Refining Limited.

Amin in suit No. FHC/PHC/CS/164/2008, is seeking a Port Harcourt federal high court to declare him as the authentic owner of the gas firm

The board had on March 17, removed him from office over allegations of abuse of monies belonging to the firm.

But Amin immediately challenged the decision before a Port Harcourt Federal High court presided over by Justice G.K Olutu and urged the court to restrain Yellowe and the board.

Based on these, the court issued an injunction restraining the board and the respondents from removing the former managing director and further restrained from operating the firm’s account without Amin’s consent.

After hearing on the motion, Olotu had July 31 vacated the injunction he earlier placed.

At a resumed sitting weekend, Justice Evoh Stephen Chukwu of the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt after listening to argument by counsel to Amin and those of the chairman and board of the company adjourned to Tuesday (tomorrow) for ruling.

An application by counsel to Sterling Bank, Mr. O.M Afolabi which sought the leave of the court to direct his client on whom to deal with in view of an existing order that salaries be paid to staff of the gas firm could not be granted that day.
